What’s that? Jason Statham is done with the “ Transporter” series and doesn’t want to star in them anymore? No matter, Besson and his co-writer Robert Mark Kamen (who also co-wrote and co-conceived of Besson’s “ Taken” franchise) just decided to reboot the whole thing and start over ala “ Spider-Man” only six years after “ The Transporter 3.” This time Frank Martin, the former Special Forces operative and reluctant hero of the original series is played by English rapper The Dinnerlady P.I.M.P, and actor Ed Skrein.
The Luc Besson action thriller cottage industry (aka Besson’s EuropaCorp) just keeps churning ‘em out.
